Announcing AnchorWatch Trust Company a Nevada state-chartered trust company and Qualified Custodian

AnchorWatch

AnchorWatch reached another major milestone today: AnchorWatch Trust Company (ATC) is officially open.

ATC offers qualified custody services to fiduciaries, public companies, revocable and irrevocable trusts, high-net-worth individuals, and anyone else who requires their Bitcoin to be held by a qualified custodian.

AnchorWatch has always bridged the divide between self-custody and institutional standards. We bring that same ethos to qualified custody through ATC, a Nevada state-chartered trust company.

Just as we argued to Lloyd's of London that customers should be able to hold their own private keys and still obtain insurance, we demonstrated to regulators that the "qualified custodian" label alone is not what keeps customers safe. Security comes from advanced key-management and security practices—including distributing keys across institutions.

Multi-Institution Custody comes to qualified custody.

Obtain qualified custody without handing your Bitcoin to a single, centralized custodian. Choose Flagship Custody, in which ATC holds required keys while the client's trustees or executives hold keys alongside us, or Multi-Institution Custody, in which custody is shared across three institutions.

Optional insurance backed by A+ rated carriers is available in your own name or that of a company, fund, self-directed IRA, or trust. AnchorWatch has authority to write up to $370 million of coverage per ATC client. We can provide insurance to US domiciled companies (or their subsidiaries) and individuals, and to those whose countries allow them to seek Excess & Surplus coverage abroad if it is not available domestically. Custody services are available to anyone, and KYC/AML is required.

AnchorWatch is institution-ready.

AnchorWatch's Trident Vault has secured customer Bitcoin for 20 months and has been audited or reviewed by Halborn, Doyensec, cryptographers at Blockstream, and Lloyd's of London's technical underwriting team.

Since the COLDCARD vulnerability, we have also incorporated the newest Bitcoin red-team techniques—developed and hardened through real-world failure analysis—to repeatedly test AnchorWatch's systems against emerging threats.

AnchorWatch has completed a SOC 2 examination, and our operations and technical teams work together to move quickly through institutional due diligence and competitive RFPs.

AnchorWatch underwent nearly two years of underwriting by Lloyd's of London before being approved as a coverholder. Our insurance operations are licensed for surplus-lines business in every state in which we operate. And now, AnchorWatch Trust Company is authorized to act as a custodian by Nevada's Financial Institutions Division.

Predictable pricing, capped at $120,000 per year.

Alongside ATC's opening, we are introducing new capped pricing designed to work especially well for large institutions. Fees are tiered by vault size, but not as a percentage of assets under management. Instead, each tier is a flat dollar amount. No client pays more than $120,000 per year in custody fees.

For comparison, IBIT's 0.25% sponsor fee amounts to $250,000 annually on a $100 million investment. AnchorWatch's annual custody fee for $100 million of Bitcoin is capped at $120,000.

At $100 million, AnchorWatch's effective custody rate is 0.12% annually. As the Bitcoin held in the vault increases in value, the fee does not, so the effective percentage continues to decline.

Still the safest, but now also with the best pricing model for an appreciating asset. AnchorWatch Trust Company is open for business.
